If there were games for voice artists Male Talent 7 would be on the podium receiving GOLD! He has a deep warm soothing voice that is very confident, trusting and assuring.
He has been recording voice overs for a looonng time and he certainly knows his away around a script or two. We caught up with him recently and asked a few short questions about his career.
How did you become a voice talent?
In the old days, yes I’m old, radio announcers/DJ’s were expected to sell, write and read commercials. It was all part of the gig.
How long have you been a voice talent?
Since the 70’s
Do you remember the first voiceover you ever got paid to do?
It was Adelaide in the late 70’s, a session for Ansett Airlines
What’s the best voiceover you have ever done?
Mmmm. I feel it’s still coming.
What’s the worst voiceover you have ever done?
The list is long, but I would have to say it’s one of the many over written, hard sell scripts I read in the 80’s
Do you have a favourite commercial on TV at the moment?
The current Aldi ads are well written & delivered, runner up is Lynx Australia, with the Kiwi actors. Love the twist.
If you could voice the part for a cartoon character who would you like to be?
Scooby Doo
